If you joined Bizomate by invitation, or work for more than one business, you can start a company of your own. You become its owner, with its own plan, billing and workspaces, and you stay in every company you already belong to.

Who can do this

Anyone with a Bizomate account. You become the new company's Owner.

Steps

  1. Select the workspace chip at the top left.
  2. Near the bottom of the menu, select Start your own company — "Your own plan, billing and workspaces. You stay in the others."
  3. The Start your own company page opens. It says which companies you stay in.
  4. In Company name, type the company's name as it appears on invoices — for example Northwind Logistics. If you gave a company name when you registered, it is filled in already.
  5. In Country, choose where the company is based. "Decides where your data is stored and how you're billed. It cannot be changed later." Only countries where Bizomate can take new companies are listed.
  6. In Workspace name, type a name for the company's first workspace — for example Operations.
  7. Read the plan note above the button:
    • It starts with a 15-day Pro trial — if you have not owned a company before.
    • It starts on the Free plan — if you have owned a company that had a trial. "A Pro trial comes once per person."
  8. Select Create company and workspace. The button shows Creating your company.

To go back without creating anything, select Cancel.

What happens next

  • Bizomate creates the company with you as its owner, creates its first workspace with you as admin, and moves you into it. You land on Workflows.
  • You are sent an email, "Your workspace is ready", with three things worth doing first — unless you have switched off product email.
  • The chip now shows the new company's name under the workspace. Your other companies are under Other companies in the chip menu.
  • On a trial, the company moves to Free after 15 days unless the owner picks a plan.

Good to know

  • The country cannot be changed later, and decides the data region shown in Workspace settings › General.
  • The company's name can be changed later by its owner on Plan and billing.
  • If you leave every company you belong to, Bizomate shows the same form under the heading Create a workspace, with the note "You no longer belong to any company. Start your own here and you become its owner."
