Won Pipedrive deal starts onboarding in Asana starts a run each time a deal is marked won in Pipedrive. It creates an onboarding task in an Asana project, with the deal's details, and tells the team in Slack. This article shows how to install it and fill in each step.
Who can do this
Workspace Admins and Editors. Templates are on every plan. Pipedrive ◇ is on paid plans: on Free you can set the template up, and publishing asks for a paid plan. A won deal reaches the trigger only once the workflow is published. See Premium connections on the Free plan.
Before you start
- A Pipedrive connection. See Connect Pipedrive.
- An Asana connection, and the project onboarding tasks go in. See Connect Asana.
- A Slack connection. See Connect Slack.
Steps
Install it
- On Workflows, select the arrow beside + New workflow, then From a template.
- In Search templates, type Asana.
- On Won Pipedrive deal starts onboarding in Asana, select Use this template.
- In Install into, choose the workspace or project, then select Install as a draft.
- The toast says Installed as a draft, for example Won Pipedrive deal starts onboarding in Asana is in Consulace. Connect Pipedrive, Asana and Slack, then publish. An app it doesn't name had one connection in the workspace, and the template has chosen it. Select Open it. The workflow opens in the designer with three steps.
Fill in the steps
- Select When a deal is won (Pipedrive · Deal won / lost).
- Choose the Pipedrive Connection.
- When it is is already Won.
- Pipeline is empty, which means every pipeline. Choose one to start runs for its deals only.
- Select Create the onboarding task (Asana · Create a task).
- Choose the Asana Connection, then the Workspace and Project.
- Name is already Onboard followed by the deal's organisation. Notes say who won it, the deal's title and value, and link to the deal.
- Choose an Assignee and a Due date if you want them set. Due takes a date like 2026-11-04.
- Select Tell the team (Slack · Post a message). Choose the Slack Connection and the Channel.
- Publish the workflow. Publishing sets up the trigger in Pipedrive. Until then no won deal reaches Bizomate, and Test run has none to start with, so the steps run with the trigger's fields empty.
- To try it, mark a test deal won in Pipedrive. Once published the workflow is on, so that deal runs it. To run it again with the same deal, open the trigger's Output, select Use the last event, then Test run. See How instant triggers work.
What happens next
- Each won deal starts one run. The task is created, and the Slack message links to it.
Good to know
- A deal won, reopened and won again starts a run each time it's won.
- A deal with no organisation gives an empty organisation name, so the task reads Onboard alone. Change Name to
{{ trigger.title }}if your deals often have none.
