Before you start
A WooCommerce connection with a Read/Write key — see Connect WooCommerce.
Steps
- Select + where the step should go. In the step picker, open Apps, select WooCommerce, then Create or update a customer.

- In Customer, leave it empty to add a new customer. To change one, give their id — A customer's id to change them. Empty makes a new one.
- In Email, rohan@consulace.com. A new customer needs one.
- Optional: First name Rohan, Last name Mehta, and Phone.
- Select Run this step to try it.
Output
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
id |
WooCommerce's id for the customer. |
email, firstName, lastName |
As WooCommerce has them. |
phone |
From their billing details. |
username |
Their sign-in name on your site. |
Good to know
- A new customer is a WordPress account. WooCommerce makes a username from the email and, depending on WooCommerce › Settings › Accounts & Privacy, may email them a link to set a password.
- Fields left empty are left alone when you change a customer.
- Phone goes on the customer's billing details.
- One account per email. WooCommerce refuses a new customer with an email that already has an account.
