Three Google Calendar steps change events: Create an event — Puts an event in a Google calendar, with a Meet link if you like; Update an event — Changes a Google Calendar event — only what you fill in; and Delete an event — Removes an event from a Google calendar.
Who can do this
Workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan.
Before you start
A Google Workspace connection allowed to See and change your calendars.
Steps
Create an event:
- Select +, then in Apps select Google Calendar, then Create an event.
- Choose the Connection.
- Optional: in Calendar, choose one — Your calendars, and those shared with you that you can edit. Empty: your own calendar.
- In Title, the event's title.
- In Starts, the date and time — 2026-10-05 10:00.
- Under Lasts, from 15 minutes to 8 hours, or All day. It starts on 1 hour.
- In Time zone, the zone Starts is in — The workflow's time zone unless you choose another.
- Optional: in Guests, addresses — Each gets Google's invitation. Separate several with commas.
- Optional: switch on Add a Google Meet link.
- Under Send invitations, choose To everyone (the default), Outside your organisation, or None.
- Optional: Location and Details.
Update an event:
- Select +, then Google Calendar, then Update an event.
- Choose the Connection, and the Calendar the event is in.
- In Event, the event's id — An event's id — from Create an event, or List events.
- Fill in only what should change: Title, Starts (Empty keeps the time it has.), Lasts (Keep its length), Time zone, Guests (Replaces who is invited. Empty keeps them.), Location, Details.
- Under Send updates, choose who Google emails about the change.
Delete an event:
- Select +, then Google Calendar, then Delete an event.
- Choose the Connection, the Calendar, and the event's id in Event.
- Under Tell the guests, choose who Google emails.
Outside your organisation: only people outside your organisation get Google's email.
Output
Create and Update give the event: id, subject, start, end, timeZone, isAllDay, isCancelled, location, organizer, attendees (each address and response), joinUrl (the Meet link), webLink and preview. It reads the same as an Outlook Calendar event.
Delete gives id and deleted (true).
Good to know
- Starts takes 2026-10-05 10:00 and similar. A time with Z or an offset is turned into the step's time zone.
- A new start keeps the event's length when Lasts is Keep its length.
- Guests — up to 10 addresses.
- Runs once per item.
