A connection is how a workflow signs in to a service you already use — Microsoft 365, Google, a database, an AI service. The Connections page lists every connection in the workspace you are in, and every workflow in that workspace can use any of them.

Who can do this

  • Workspace Admins and Editors see the page and can add, test, reconnect, revoke and delete connections. The buttons for these appear only for them.
  • Workspace Viewers see the same list and can open a connection to read about it, but there is no + Add connection button and no actions in the connection's panel — apart from Connect my Slack account on a Slack connection. When the workspace has no connections yet, a Viewer reads "A connection is how a workflow signs in to a service. Admins and editors add them."
  • Your company role (Owner, Admin, Member) makes no difference here — only your role in the workspace does.

Steps

  1. Select Connections in the bar at the top of the page, between Lists and Runs.
  2. Read the line under the heading: for example "3 connections · shared by everyone in this workspace". With none yet it reads "Shared by everyone in this workspace".
  3. To find one, type in Search connections. It matches the connection's name and the service's name.
  4. To show one kind only, choose a category in the All categories list — for example AI, Database or Productivity. Only categories you have connections in are listed.
  5. To change the layout, use the two buttons beside the filters:
    • Cards groups connections under their category, each card with the service, the name, the status and the date it was added.
    • Table shows one row each, with the columns Connection, Category, Status and Added.
  6. Select a card or row to open the connection. A panel opens on the right and the list stays where it was.
  7. Read the panel:
    • The heading line names the account or server it uses and who added it — for example "rohan@consulace.com · connected 12 March by Rohan Mehta".
    • Admins and Editors see the actions: Test, Refresh, Edit, Revoke, Reconnect or Delete, depending on the kind of connection and its state.
    • Its status, and under it when the credential runs out, if that is known.
    • Used by — "Used by 3 steps in 2 workflows", with each workflow listed and linked to it in the designer. "Not used by any workflow yet" when nothing uses it.
    • For a Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Slack sign-in, What Microsoft allows, What Google allows or What Slack allows: each permission the account has given, marked Allowed. A Slack connection also lists each person who connected their own account — "Post as Rohan Mehta", Allowed · their account — and, until you have, Connect my Slack account. See Connect Slack.
    • For a database, Server: the server and the database name. Nothing it signs in with is shown.
  8. Select the × at the top right of the panel to close it.

What happens next

Nothing changes until you use an action. Opening a connection is read-only.

Good to know

  • Connections belong to one workspace. Every workflow in that workspace can use every connection in it, and no other workspace sees them. To use the same account in another workspace, add it there too.
  • Statuses you may see:
Status What it means
Active It works, as far as Bizomate knows.
Expires in 12 days, Expires tomorrow, Expires today The key, password or sign-in runs out soon. Amber from 30 days before, red on the last day.
Expired today, Expired yesterday, Expired 3 days ago The date has passed. Steps that use it fail until it is reconnected.
Needs reconnecting The service no longer accepts it — the sign-in was withdrawn or could not be renewed.
Revoked Someone in the workspace revoked it. Bizomate no longer holds its credential.
  • + Add connection lists only services that have steps or triggers in Bizomate, plus Generic API Key for HTTP Request. A service with no steps yet would be a connection that does nothing, so it is not offered; it appears once its steps exist. Connections you already have stay listed here whatever their service.
  • A diamond beside a service's name marks a connection on paid plans. See Premium connections on the Free plan.
  • Support staff viewing your workspace with your permission see your connections' names and states only, never their credentials, and cannot change them.

If something goes wrong

What you see Why What to do
Nothing matches — "No connection here fits that search and category." The search and the category together leave nothing. Select Clear the filters.
No + Add connection button You are a Viewer in this workspace. Ask a workspace Admin to add it, or to make you an Editor.
A connection you expected is not listed It was added in a different workspace. Switch to that workspace, or add the connection again here.
