Deleting a workflow removes it from the workspace for good, with every version of it and its run history. If you only want it to stop running, switch it off instead — see Switch a workflow on or off.

Who can do this

Workspace Admins and Editors. Viewers do not see Delete.

Before you start

If you might want it back, export it first: select Export as a file on its row. A file can be imported again later. See Export workflows to a file.

Steps

From the Workflows list:

  1. Select Workflows in the bar at the top of the page.
  2. On the workflow's row, select Delete (the bin).
  3. The confirmation Delete “…”? says “…” and every version of it are deleted. This cannot be undone. If the workflow is running, it adds It stops running at once.
  4. Select Delete workflow.

From the designer:

  1. Select ⋯ at the top right.
  2. Select Delete workflow, then Delete workflow again in the confirmation.

A toast says Workflow deleted — “…” is gone. From the designer, you are taken back to the Workflows list.

What happens next

These go with the workflow, at once:

  • Every version, published or draft.
  • Its runs, test runs included, and the files they kept — form uploads and files steps brought in.
  • Its own variables, and everyone's remembered test environment for it.
  • Its schedule, its webhook address and its form address. A webhook address answers 404 from then on, and the form's page shows We cannot find that page.
  • Runs waiting to start are dropped.

Global variables, connections and lists it used are not touched — other workflows may use them.

Good to know

  • There is no archive and no undo. The only way back is importing a file you exported before deleting.
  • Deleting a workflow does not give back runs already counted this month.

If something goes wrong

What you see Why What to do
That workflow is not here when you open a link The workflow was deleted, or belongs to another workspace. Select Back to workflows. If it was deleted, import it from an exported file.
Delete is not on the row You are a Viewer. Ask an Admin or Editor.
