Inviting someone gives them access to one workspace, with the role you choose. If they are not yet in your company, accepting adds them to it as a member. Invite them separately to each workspace they need.
Who can do this
- Workspace role: Admin. Editors and viewers see the Members page without the invite row.
- Plan: Starter and above. On Free the page says "The Free plan is for one person, so nobody else can be invited."
- Seats: Starter has 5, Pro 25, Enterprise no limit. When every seat is taken the invite row is replaced by a note, and the owner also sees See plans.
Steps
- Select your avatar at the top right, then Settings.
- Under Workspace, select Members. The line at the top shows the seats, for example "3 of 5 seats used".
- In Invite someone, type their email address — for example asha@consulace.com.
- In Role, choose Admin, Editor or Viewer. Editor is chosen for you.
- Admin — manages the workspace and its people.
- Editor — builds and runs workflows, and manages connections.
- Viewer — looks at workflows and runs and changes nothing.
- Select Send invitation. The button shows Sending.
The message Invitation sent says "asha@consulace.com has 7 days to accept." The address appears under Pending invitations, with the role and "Expires in 7 days".
What happens next
- They get an email with the subject "Consulace invited you to Bizomate", showing the workspace, their role and how many workflows it has, and a Join Consulace button. The link works for 7 days.
- If they already have a Bizomate account, the invitation also appears in their notification centre under Needs you ("Rohan Mehta invited you to Consulace"), and on a screen of its own the next time they sign in.
- If they do not have an account, the link asks for their name and a password, then sets up two-factor before they come in.
- When they accept, the workspace's admins are told in the notification centre: "Asha Raghunathan joined Consulace — As an editor, from an invitation Rohan sent." They move from Pending invitations to the members list.
- If they decline, the invitation stays on your list marked Declined, and its seat is free again.
Good to know
- Seats are counted across the company. Someone in three workspaces is one seat. Every invitation that has not been accepted, declined or cancelled, and has not expired, holds a seat too.
- Inviting the same address again replaces the first invitation. The old link stops working, and the replacement does not take a second seat.
- Being invited to a workspace makes someone a company Member, never a company admin.
- You can also invite up to 20 people while creating the company's first workspace; they are invited as editors.
- The email is sent from Bizomate. If it does not arrive, ask them to check spam, then use Resend.
