The Anthropic Claude step sends text to Claude using your company's own Anthropic API key. Bizomate does not pay for or resell AI use: Anthropic bills your account, and each run's output shows the tokens it used.

Who can do this

Workspace Admins and Editors, on any plan — Anthropic is not a premium connection. On Anthropic's side, someone who can create API keys in your organisation's Claude Console, which needs credit or billing set up.

Steps

In Anthropic, make the key:

  1. Sign in to the Claude Console at console.anthropic.com.
  2. Open Settings, then API keys.
  3. Select Create Key. Name it — for example Bizomate — and choose its workspace.
  4. Copy the key. The Console shows it only once.

In Bizomate, add the connection:

  1. Select Connections in the bar at the top, then + Add connection.
  2. Under AI, select Anthropic. It reads "Stored credential".
  3. In Connection name, type a name — for example Consulace Claude.
  4. Paste the key in API key. "Stored encrypted. It is never shown again after you save."
  5. Optional: if the key has an end date, choose it in This key expires on · optional.
  6. Select Save connection.

The toast "Connection added" says "“Consulace Claude” is ready. Every workflow in this workspace can use it."

What happens next

  • In the designer, the Anthropic Claude step lists it under Connection: "Your company’s own API key, kept in Connections."
  • The step offers the models Claude Sonnet (the default), Claude Opus and Claude Haiku.

Good to know

  • There is no Test for an AI key. Run the step once in the designer — that is the test.
  • To use a new key: in the connection's panel select Revoke, then Reconnect, and paste the new key. Workflows using it fail between the two, so do both together. Within 30 days of a date you entered, Replace key does the same in one go.
  • To keep spending in check, set spend limits in the Claude Console.
