A monday.com connection lets workflows create items and subitems, change column values, move items between groups, post updates, find items and upload files — and start a run the moment an item is added, a column changes or an update is posted. It connects with an API token from monday.com. Everything the steps do is done as the person the token belongs to.

Who can do this

  • In Bizomate: workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan — monday.com is not a premium connection. Viewers see the connection but cannot add or change it.
  • In monday.com: any member can copy their own personal token. It reaches the boards that account can. An account admin can also use the account's admin token.

Steps

In monday.com, copy the token:

  1. Sign in to monday.com. Select your profile picture at the top right, then Developers.
  2. Select My access tokens.
  3. Select Show, then Copy.

In Bizomate, add the connection:

  1. Select Connections in the bar at the top, then + Add connection.
  2. Under Productivity, select monday.com. It reads "Stored credential".
  3. In Connection name, type a name — for example Consulace monday.com.
  4. Paste the token in API token — placeholder eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9…. In monday.com: your picture › Developers › My access tokens — your personal token, or an admin's Admin token. Steps act as the person the token belongs to.
  5. Leave Test the connection before saving ticked. Bizomate asks monday.com whose token it is before keeping it.
  6. Select Save connection. The button reads Testing while monday.com is asked.

The toast "Connection added" says what monday.com answered — for example "“Consulace monday.com” is ready. Reached Rohan Mehta · monday.com account Consulace."

What happens next

  • The connection appears under Productivity. Its panel shows Replace token, Test and Revoke — never the token. Stored encrypted. Secret fields are never shown again after you save.
  • Test answers with your name and the monday.com account — Reached Rohan Mehta · monday.com account Consulace.
  • monday.com steps and triggers list it under Connection. Their Board list shows the active boards your account can see, most used first, each with its monday.com workspace — Client onboarding · Main workspace.

Good to know

  • The token does not expire. Selecting Regenerate in monday.com stops the old one. Then open the connection's panel, select Replace token, paste the new token and select Replace token. The toast "Token replaced" says "Workflows that use “Consulace monday.com” use the new key from their next run."
  • Items made by a workflow show the token's owner as their creator.
  • monday.com limits how much one account can ask for in a minute. A workflow that changes many items at once can be refused for a while; give its steps retries — see Make a step try again when it fails.
  • Signing in with monday.com instead of a token is not offered yet; the token is the only way to connect.

If something goes wrong

What you see Why What to do
monday.com refused it — "monday.com refused: … Check the connection's details on Connections. Nothing was saved." The token was mistyped or regenerated. Copy the token again from Developers › My access tokens.
"Fill in API token." The box is empty. Paste the token.
Nothing to pick — "This token sees no boards. Make a board in monday.com, or check whose token it is." The account can see no active board. Make a board, or use the token of someone who is on the boards.
A board is missing from the list Your account is not a subscriber of a private board, or the board is archived. Ask the board's owner to add you.
"Could not reach monday.com: …" or "monday.com did not answer within 30 seconds." monday.com could not be reached. Try again in a few minutes.
