A Freshsales connection lets the Freshsales steps work with contacts, accounts, deals, tasks, appointments, notes and custom modules, and lets the Freshsales triggers check for new contacts, new deals and deals that change stage. It needs your site address — the one you sign in to Freshsales at — and your API key. The address is asked first, because every request goes to it. Everything the steps do is done as you, with your Freshsales permissions.
Who can do this
- In Bizomate: workspace Admins and Editors. Viewers see the connection but cannot add or change it.
- In Freshsales: any user can copy their own API key. The connection sees and changes what that user can, so use a user who can reach every record your workflows need.
- Plan: Freshsales is a premium connection, marked ◇. You can add it and test its steps and triggers on any plan; publishing a workflow that uses it needs Starter, Pro or Enterprise.
Before you start
Your Freshsales address — the part before .myfreshworks.com when you are signed in, such as consulace in consulace.myfreshworks.com/crm/sales.
Steps
In Freshsales, copy the API key:
- Sign in to Freshsales.
- Select your profile picture, then Settings.
- Open API Settings.
- Copy Your API key.
In Bizomate, add the connection:
- Select Connections in the bar at the top, then + Add connection.
- Under CRM/Sales, select Freshsales — marked ◇, and on the Free plan "Stored credential · Paid plans".
- In Connection name, type a name — for example Consulace Freshsales.
- In Site address, type your site's name — consulace — before the fixed .myfreshworks.com. The address you sign in to Freshsales at — asked first, because every request goes to it. Pasting the whole address works too.
- Paste the key in API key — In Freshsales: your profile picture › Settings › API Settings › Your API key. Steps act as you, with your Freshsales permissions. Stored encrypted; never shown again.
- Optional: in This key expires on · optional, an end date if your key has one — If the service gave the key an end date. The workspace’s admins are reminded 30, 7 and 1 days before.
- Leave Test the connection before saving ticked. Bizomate reads your account's users before keeping it.
- Select Save connection. The button reads Testing while Freshsales is asked.
The toast "Connection added" says what Freshsales answered — for example "“Consulace Freshsales” is ready. Reached consulace.myfreshworks.com · Freshsales, 4 users."
What happens next
- The connection appears under CRM/Sales. Its panel shows Test, Replace key and Revoke — never the key.
- Test answers with the address and how many users your account has — Reached consulace.myfreshworks.com · Freshsales, 4 users.
- Freshsales steps and triggers list it under Connection, and read fields — custom fields included — views and deal stages from your account.
Good to know
- On the Free plan the window notes: "Freshsales is on paid plans. You can add it and test the steps that use it now; publishing a workflow that uses it asks for a paid plan."
- Freshsales on myfreshworks.com only. An older Freshsales Classic address (.freshsales.io) is refused; use the address you sign in at today.
- Resetting the key in Freshsales ends the old one. Open the connection's panel, select Replace key, fill in the fields again and select Replace key. The toast "Key replaced" says "Workflows that use “Consulace Freshsales” use the new key from their next run."
- One connection, one account. For a second Freshsales account, add a second connection.
