The designer saves the draft as you work. Bizomate keeps the last 10 of those saves for each workflow, under Versions › Unpublished saves, so a draft that was replaced — by someone's Keep mine, say, or by a restore — can be brought back. These are saves of the draft, not published versions.

Who can do this

Workspace Admins and Editors — anyone who can change the draft — can restore a save. Viewers see Unpublished saves but not Restore.

Steps

  1. Open the workflow in the designer — Daily sales summary.
  2. Select Versions at the top right.
  3. The published versions come first. Under Unpublished saves · the last 10, find the save you want. Each shows who saved it and when — Asha Raghunathan, with the time.
  4. Beside it, select Restore. Bizomate asks first: Restore the save from 10:42? — Your current draft joins Unpublished saves.
  5. Select Restore this save, or Cancel to keep the draft as it is. The button reads Restoring while it works.

A message says The save from 10:42 is in the draft — The draft it replaced is under Unpublished saves. What is live has not changed.

What happens next

  • The save replaces the draft. The draft it replaced joins the list, so a restore can itself be undone.
  • The live version keeps running. To make the restored draft run, publish it. See Publish a workflow.
  • Restore is checked like any save. If someone saved the draft after you opened the designer, the banner Asha Raghunathan saved this draft at 10:42, after you opened it comes first, and nothing is restored until you choose. See When someone else changed the draft.

Good to know

  • Only the last 10 saves are kept. An older save drops off the list when a new one is made.
  • A page's own autosaves within 10 minutes of each other count as one save, so a stretch of work is one row, not dozens. A save by someone else, a gap of more than 10 minutes, a restore or a Keep mine starts a new row.
  • The list only appears once there is a save to show.
  • There is no side-by-side compare for unpublished saves. To compare published versions, see Compare two versions of a workflow.
  • Published versions are restored from the same menu. See Restore an earlier version.
