After five failed attempts to sign in, Bizomate pauses sign-in on the account for 15 minutes. This slows down anyone guessing your password. You do not have to wait: resetting your password ends the pause straight away.
Who can do this
The owner of the account — anyone who can receive email at its address.
Steps
- When the pause starts, Sign-in is paused on this account opens: Five attempts failed, so we have paused sign-in for 15 minutes. You can reset your password now instead of waiting.
- Choose one:
- Select Reset your password, and follow Reset a forgotten password. Completing the reset ends the pause.
- Or wait 15 minutes — the page shows Try again in 15 minutes — then select Back to sign in and sign in.
What happens next
- After 15 minutes, sign-in works again with the right password.
- A completed password reset ends the pause at once and resets the count of failed attempts.
Good to know
- What counts as a failed attempt: a wrong password, a wrong authenticator code and a wrong recovery code all count. A correct sign-in resets the count.
- The pause is on the account, not the device. Every device waits the same 15 minutes.
- If this was not you, reset your password. The page says the attempts came from a device we do not recognise.
- After a reset, check Settings > Active sessions for anything you do not recognise.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The page opens again after 15 minutes | More failed attempts were made after the pause ended. | Reset your password rather than trying again. |
| The reset link has expired | Reset links work for 30 minutes and once only. | Select Send me a new link on the expired-link page. |
