Remove someone when they no longer need a workspace — they changed team or left the business. Everything they built stays in the workspace: workflows, connections and run history belong to the workspace, not the person.
Who can do this
- Workspace role: Admin. Editors and viewers do not see Remove.
- You cannot remove yourself — use Leave instead.
Steps
- Select your avatar at the top right, then Settings.
- Under Workspace, select Members.
- On the person's row, select Remove.
- A box asks "Remove Asha Raghunathan?" — "Asha Raghunathan can no longer open Consulace. They keep their account and any other workspace. If this is their last workspace in the company, they leave the company too."
- Select Remove member. (Select Cancel to keep them.)
The message Member removed says "Asha Raghunathan no longer has access." If it was their last workspace in the company, it adds "It was their last workspace here, so they are no longer in the company either." They leave the list, and their seat is free.
What happens next
- They are told in their notification centre: "You were removed from Consulace" — "Rohan Mehta removed you. Its workflows stay with the people still in it."
- If it was their last workspace in the company, they leave the company too. Someone there would have to invite them again.
- They keep their Bizomate account and every other workspace and company they belong to. If they were working in this workspace, they are moved to their most recent workspace elsewhere — or, if they have none, to a screen that explains what they can do.
- Their workflows, connections and runs stay in the workspace and keep running.
Good to know
- Connections they added keep working, because they belong to the workspace. If they used their own account on a service, reconnect it with a shared one from Connections.
- Being removed and leaving behave exactly alike.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Not removed — A workspace needs at least one admin. Make someone else an admin first. | They are the only other admin. | Make another member an admin first. |
| Not removed — Rohan Mehta owns Consulace Business Solutions Private Limited, so they can't be removed from their last workspace in it. | The company's owner must stay in at least one of its workspaces. | The owner can transfer ownership first, from Plan and billing. |
| Not removed — They are no longer in this workspace. | Someone else removed them, or they left. | Nothing to do. Refresh the page. |
