The Google Gemini step sends text to Gemini using your company's own Gemini API key. Bizomate does not pay for or resell AI use: Google bills your account, and each run's output shows the tokens it used. This is a separate connection from Google Workspace — it uses a key, not a sign-in.

Who can do this

Workspace Admins and Editors, on any plan — Google Gemini is not a premium connection. On Google's side, someone who can create API keys in Google AI Studio.

Steps

In Google, make the key:

  1. Sign in at aistudio.google.com.
  2. Select Get API key.
  3. Select Create API key, and choose the Google Cloud project it belongs to.
  4. Copy the key.

In Bizomate, add the connection:

  1. Select Connections in the bar at the top, then + Add connection.
  2. Under AI, select Google Gemini. It reads "Stored credential".
  3. In Connection name, type a name — for example Consulace Gemini.
  4. Paste the key in API key. "Stored encrypted. It is never shown again after you save."
  5. Optional: if the key has an end date, choose it in This key expires on · optional.
  6. Select Save connection.

The toast "Connection added" says "“Consulace Gemini” is ready. Every workflow in this workspace can use it."

What happens next

  • In the designer, the Google Gemini step lists it under Connection: "Your company’s own API key, kept in Connections."
  • The step offers the models Gemini 2.5 Flash (the default) and Gemini 2.5 Pro.
  • The key is sent to Google in a request header, never in the web address.

Good to know

  • There is no Test for an AI key. Run the step once in the designer — that is the test.
  • To use a new key: in the connection's panel select Revoke, then Reconnect, and paste the new key. Workflows using it fail between the two, so do both together. Within 30 days of a date you entered, Replace key does the same in one go.
  • Usage limits and billing are set on the key's Google Cloud project.
