Delete a project you no longer need. When it has workflows in it, you choose what happens to them: keep them, ungrouped, or delete them too. Keeping them is the default.
Who can do this
- Workspace role: Admin or Editor. Viewers do not see the delete button.
Steps
- Select your avatar at the top right, then Settings.
- Under Workspace, select Projects.
- On the project's row, select the bin button (Delete).
- A box asks "Delete Finance?":
- No workflows in it — "Nothing is in it, so nothing else changes."
- Workflows in it — "Two workflows sit in this project. Choose what happens to them." Choose one:
- Keep the workflows — "They are not deleted — they become ungrouped." This is chosen for you.
- Delete the workflows too — "They all stop running immediately and their run history goes with them. This cannot be undone."
- Select Delete project — or, if you chose to delete the workflows, Delete project and 2 workflows. (Select Cancel to keep it.)
The message Project deleted says "“Finance” is gone. Its 2 workflows are ungrouped now." — or "“Finance” and its 2 workflows are gone."
What happens next
- Keeping the workflows: they stay exactly as they were — published versions, switches, schedules and runs — and show as Ungrouped on Workflows.
- Deleting the workflows too: they stop running at once and their run history goes with them. This cannot be undone.
Good to know
Deleting a project frees a place under the plan's project limit straight away.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Something went wrong — The project was not deleted. Try again. | The delete failed. Nothing changed. | Try again. |
