Move a workflow into a project to keep the Workflows list sortable, or take it out of one. "Projects only group workflows. Moving one changes nothing about how it runs."
Who can do this
- Workspace role: Admin or Editor.
Before you start
The workspace needs at least one project. Until it has one, the move button is not shown. See Group workflows into projects.
Steps
- Select Workflows in the top bar.
- On the workflow's row (or card), select the move button (Move to a project).
- A box opens: Move “Weekly sales summary”. In Into project, choose a project — or Ungrouped to take it out of every project.
- Select Move workflow. (Select Cancel to leave it where it is.)
The message Workflow moved says "“Weekly sales summary” is in Finance now." — or "is ungrouped now."
What happens next
The row shows its new project at once. The workflow keeps its versions, runs, schedule and switch exactly as they were.
Good to know
- A workflow is in one project at most.
- To start a new workflow straight into a project, choose that project in the Project filter on Workflows, then select + New workflow.
- Making a copy of a workflow lets you choose the project for the copy.
