Leave a workspace when you no longer work in it. You lose access to its workflows, connections and runs; they stay for everyone else. Leaving your last workspace in a company also takes you out of that company.
Who can do this
Anyone in the workspace, whatever their role — with two exceptions:
- The workspace's only admin must make someone else an admin first.
- The company's owner cannot leave their last workspace in the company until they have transferred ownership.
Steps
- Select your avatar at the top right, then Settings.
- Under Workspace, select General.
- Under Danger zone, beside Leave this workspace, select Leave workspace.
- Or, on Members, select Leave on your own row. It opens the same check.
- A box says what leaving means:
- When you are in other workspaces of this company — "Leave Consulace?" lists what you lose (its workflows, its connections, its run history) and ends "Nothing is deleted. An admin can invite you back. You stay in Consulace Business Solutions Private Limited and its other workspaces."
- When it is your last workspace in the company — "Leave Consulace and Consulace Business Solutions Private Limited?" says leaving also removes you from the company, and that someone there would need to invite you again. If you belong to other companies, it says which you keep.
- Select Leave workspace — or, for your last workspace in the company, Leave workspace and company. (Select Cancel to stay.)
You are moved to your most recent workspace in the same company, or to another company's. The message You left Consulace says "Its workflows and connections stay with the people still in it. You are now in Northwind Logistics."
What happens next
- Nothing is deleted. Workflows you built keep running, and connections you added keep working, because they belong to the workspace.
- Your seat is freed.
- If you have no workspace left anywhere, you land on a screen that lets you start your own company. See When there is no workspace to open.
- To come back, an admin of the workspace invites you again.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Make someone else an admin first — You are the only admin of Consulace. Without one, nobody could invite people, change roles or archive it. | You are its only admin. | Select Go to Members, make someone else an admin, then leave. |
| Transfer ownership first — Consulace is your last workspace in Consulace Business Solutions Private Limited, and you own the company. | The company would be left without anyone who can manage the plan or billing. | Select Go to Plan and billing and transfer ownership. Once someone accepts, you can leave. |
| You can't leave yet | Something changed since the box opened — for example, another admin left. | Read the reason in the message, fix it, and try again. |
| Could not check — Try again in a moment. | The check before leaving failed. Nothing changed. | Try again. |
