A workspace's name shows in the workspace chip, in All workspaces, in invitations and in notifications. Change it when a team or office is renamed. The workspace's name is separate from the company's — renaming one never renames the other.

Who can do this

  • Workspace role: Admin.
  • Editors and viewers can open the page but the fields are read-only, with the line "Only workspace admins can change these. You are an Editor." (or "a Viewer"). There is no Save changes button for them.

Steps

  1. Select your avatar at the top right, then Settings.
  2. In the list on the left, under Workspace, select General. The page is headed Workspace settings and says which workspace it applies to.
  3. In Workspace name, type the new name.
  4. In Description, change or clear the description.
  5. Select Save changes. The button shows Saving.
    • To undo what you typed before saving, select Cancel.

The page reloads for a moment, then shows the message Workspace saved — "Now called "Consulace Operations"." The workspace chip shows the new name straight away.

What happens next

  • Everyone in the workspace sees the new name. Their workspace chip catches up the next time they switch workspace or sign in, or within about 30 minutes.
  • Workflows, connections, runs and invitation links are not affected. Invitations already sent keep working.

Good to know

The same card shows three things that cannot be changed here:

  • Company — the company the workspace belongs to. Only the owner changes the company's name, on Plan and billing.
  • Data region — where the company's data is stored, for example India (Central). "Chosen at sign-up. It cannot be moved."
  • Workspace ID — select Copy beside it to copy it. Support may ask for it on a ticket.

The name can be up to 200 characters and the description up to 500.
