When the app you use is not in Bizomate yet, ask for it. We count every request and build the most-asked apps first. You can ask while signed in, or from the website with your work email.

Who can do this

Anyone. Signed in, every company and workspace role can ask, on every plan. On the website, you need only a work email address.

Before you start

Check that the app is not already there: search Apps on www.bizomate.com, or search the step picker in a workflow. If it is listed, connect it from Connections instead.

Steps

Signed in to Bizomate

  1. Go to bizomate.io/apps/request — or, in a workflow, search the step picker for the app, and when it says Nothing by that name yet, select Ask for “…”. It opens in a new tab with the app's name filled in.
  2. In Which app?, type the app's name. Suggestions show the apps already in Bizomate; if you pick one of those, the page says … is already in Bizomate and links to its page.
  3. Optionally, fill in What would you use it for? — for example save each new invoice from Xero to our shared drive.
  4. Check the line Asking as shows your address. If it is not you, select Sign out.
  5. Select Send request. The page says Thanks — your request for … is counted. It counts at once.

From the website, without signing in

  1. On www.bizomate.com, open Apps and select Ask for an app at the bottom. If you searched first, your search is filled in.
  2. Fill in Which app? and, optionally, What would you use it for?
  3. In Your work email, give the address we should write to once.
  4. Complete the human check, then select Send request. The page says Check your email.
  5. Open the email Confirm your request for … and select Confirm my request within 24 hours. The website says Thanks — your request for … is counted.

What happens next

  • Signed in: your request counts with your name and company. When the app is in Bizomate, you get one notification saying … is in Bizomate, with a link to it.
  • By email: nothing counts until you select the link. When the app is in Bizomate, we send one email, … is in Bizomate, and then delete your address. We send nothing else.
  • Nobody replies to the request itself. Counts are never shown on the website.
  • An open request is deleted after 12 months.

Good to know

  • One request per app for each person signed in, and for each email address. Asking again — with different capitals or extra spaces, or another day — changes nothing and sends nothing — unless your earlier link expired before you selected it; then we send a new one.
  • Asking from Describe it counts the same way. When a plan names an app Bizomate does not have, Ask for … under the plan is a signed-in request. See Ask for an app Bizomate does not have.
  • From the website, five requests an hour from one address or one network. More are refused with Too many requests — try again in an hour.
  • In the meantime, anything with a web API works through an HTTP Request step. See Call a web address with HTTP Request.
