Cal.com bookings in a Notion database starts a run each time someone books with you on Cal.com, and adds an item to a Notion database. The item's page holds who it's with, when, the join link, and a heading for your notes. It runs on every plan, Free included. This article shows how to install it and fill in each step.

Who can do this

Workspace Admins and Editors. Templates are on every plan, and this one uses no premium connection.

Before you start

Steps

Install it

  1. On Workflows, select the arrow beside + New workflow, then From a template.
  2. In Search templates, type Notion.
  3. On Cal.com bookings in a Notion database, select Use this template.
  4. In Install into, choose the workspace or project, then select Install as a draft.
  5. The toast says Installed as a draft, for example Cal.com bookings in a Notion database is in Consulace. Connect Cal.com and Notion, then publish. An app it doesn't name had one connection in the workspace, and the template has chosen it. Select Open it. The workflow opens in the designer with two steps.

Fill in the steps

  1. Select When a booking is made (Cal.com · Booking created).
    • Choose the Cal.com Connection.
    • Event type is empty, which means every event type. Choose one to add only its bookings.
  2. Select Add it to Notion (Notion · Create a database item).
    • Choose the Notion Connection, then the Database. Its properties appear under Properties.
    • Fill in the properties you use. For example, the title property {{ trigger.title }}, a date property {{ trigger.start }}, and an email property {{ trigger.attendeeEmail }}.
    • Page content is filled in already, with who, when, the join link and a Notes: line.
  3. Publish the workflow. Publishing sets up the trigger in Cal.com. Until then no booking reaches Bizomate, and Test run has none to start with, so the steps run with the trigger's fields empty.
  4. To try it, book one of your event types yourself. Once published the workflow is on, so your booking runs it. To run it again with the same booking, open the trigger's Output, select Use the last event, then Test run. See How instant triggers work.

What happens next

  • Each booking adds one item to the database.

Good to know

  • Times are in UTC, as Cal.com gives them, such as 2026-10-29T09:30:00Z.
  • Answers to your booking questions come as fields named after the question, such as {{ trigger.company_name }}, and {{ trigger.additional_notes }} is Cal.com's own notes box.
  • Cancelled or rescheduled bookings don't change the item. For those, start another workflow with Booking cancelled or Booking rescheduled.
