A Typeform connection lets the Typeform trigger start a run the moment someone answers one of your forms, and lets the Typeform steps find responses, read a form's questions and delete a response. It connects with a personal access token you make in Typeform, and the region your Typeform account lives in.

Who can do this

  • In Bizomate: workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan — Typeform is not a premium connection. Viewers see the connection but cannot add or change it.
  • In Typeform: any account can make its own token. The connection sees the forms that account can see, so use an account in the Typeform workspace whose forms your workflows need.

Before you start

Know where your Typeform account lives:

  • Standard — typeform.com, the usual one.
  • EU — accounts Typeform keeps in its EU data centre.
  • EU — new data centre — accounts in Typeform's new EU data centre. Typeform has two EU data centres and does not show which yours is; if you are not sure, choose EU — the test tells you if the token belongs to the other one.

Steps

In Typeform, make the token:

  1. Sign in to Typeform.
  2. Select your profile picture at the top right, then Your settings, then Personal tokens.
  3. Select Generate a new token and name it — Bizomate.
  4. Give it these scopes: Forms — Read, Responses — Read and Webhooks — Write. To use Delete a response, add Responses — Write.
  5. Select Generate token and copy it. Typeform shows it only once. It begins tfp_.

In Bizomate, add the connection:

  1. Select Connections in the bar at the top, then + Add connection.
  2. Under Productivity, select Typeform. Above the boxes it says which scopes to tick: Scopes to tick — forms:read, responses:read and webhooks:write; responses:write too for Delete a response.
  3. In Connection name, type a name — for example Consulace Typeform.
  4. Paste the token in Personal access token. It is hidden as you type.
  5. In Region, choose Standard, EU or EU — new data centre. Standard is chosen to begin with.
  6. Optional: if your company's policy gives the token an end date, choose it in This token expires on · optional. The workspace's admins are reminded 30, 7 and 1 days before.
  7. Leave Test the connection before saving ticked.
  8. Select Save connection. It reads Testing while Typeform is asked whose token it is.

The toast "Connection added" says "“Consulace Typeform” is ready. Every workflow in this workspace can use it."

What happens next

  • The connection appears under Productivity. Its panel shows the region, Test, Revoke and the masked token's ending, never the token.
  • Test answers with the Typeform account and how many forms it can see — Reached rohanmehta · 12 forms (or · 1 form).
  • The Typeform trigger and steps list it under Connection, and their Form pickers load your forms from it, the most recently changed first.

Good to know

  • The region must match the account. A token from an EU account is refused on Standard, and the other way round.
  • A token without Webhooks — Write works for the steps, but publishing a workflow with the Typeform trigger fails with Typeform's reason. Make a new token with the scope and Replace token.
  • Deleting the token in Typeform stops the connection at once. Open the connection's panel, select Replace token, paste a new one and select Replace token.
  • The token goes only to Typeform — to its API, and to fetch the files respondents uploaded, from Typeform's own addresses.
  • Signing in with Typeform, instead of a token, is planned for later. The token stays as a way to connect.

If something goes wrong

What you see Why What to do
Typeform refused it — "Typeform refused: Authentication credentials not found on the Request Headers. Check the connection's details on Connections. Nothing was saved." The token was mistyped, deleted or cut short, or the region is wrong. Typeform's own reason follows "Typeform refused:". Check Region, then make a new token in Typeform and paste it.
"This token belongs to Typeform's new EU data centre. Choose “EU — new data centre” as the Region, then test again." (or the same for the EU data centre) Typeform has two EU data centres, and the token's account is in the other one. Change Region as it says, and test again.
"Fill in Personal access token." Personal access token is empty. Paste the token.
Nothing to pick — "The token reaches no form. Make one in Typeform, or check whose token it is, then Refresh." The account has no forms, or the token is another account's. Make a form, or use a token from the account that owns the forms, then Refresh.
"Could not reach Typeform: …" or "Typeform did not answer within 30 seconds." Typeform could not be reached. Try again in a few minutes.
