Two list steps change rows in bulk. Update rows — Writes. Every matching row, not just the first. Delete rows — Writes. Everything that matches goes.
Who can do this
Workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan.
Steps
Update rows:
- Select +, then in the step picker open Data and select Update rows.
- In List, choose the list.
- Under Change rows where, select Add condition for each condition. With none: No conditions: every row in the list is changed.
- Under Set, fill in the columns to change. Columns left empty here are left as they are.
Delete rows:
- Select +, then Data, then Delete rows.
- In List, choose the list.
- Under Delete rows where, select Add condition for each condition. With none: No conditions: every row in the list matches.
- Read This deletes every row that matches, not the first one. Deleted rows do not come back. and tick I understand this deletes every matching row. Unticked, the step reads Needs setup and Publish lists it.
Conditions compare as in Find rows, and join with AND.
Output
- Update rows:
changed— how many rows changed — andlist_changewith the rows before and after (the first 20). - Delete rows:
deleted— how many went — andlist_change.
Good to know
- Every match changes, not only the first. Test with conditions that match one row first.
- Test runs change the list for real. There is one list, not one per environment.
- Deleted rows do not come back.
- Deleting always works, even when the company's list rows are used up, and makes room at once.
