Outlook · Send an email — Sends from the Microsoft 365 mailbox the connection signed in as — sends a real email from your own mailbox, saved in its Sent Items. Use it when the email should come from you or a shared address rather than from Bizomate.

Who can do this

Workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan.

Before you start

A Microsoft 365 connection in this workspace, allowed to Read and send mail.

Steps

  1. Select + where the email should be sent. In the step picker, open Apps, select Outlook, then Send an email.
  2. In Connection, choose your Microsoft 365 connection.
  3. In To, type the addresses — Separate several with commas.
  4. Optional: in Cc, the same.
  5. In Subject, type the subject.
  6. Under Message format, choose Text (the default) or HTML.
  7. In Message, type the message.
  8. Optional: under Attachments, select Add a file, then drag in a file from an earlier step or type {{. A file from an earlier step: a form upload, an email attachment, a OneDrive download. Outlook's own size limit applies. See Pass files between steps.
  9. Optional: switch on Ask for a read receipt.
  10. Select Run this step to send a test.

Output

Field What it is
sent true
to The addresses it went to.
subject The subject as sent.
attachments How many files were attached.

Good to know

  • Up to 10 addresses in To, and 10 in Cc.
  • Large attachments are fine. Up to 3 MB in all they go in one request; above that, Outlook takes each file one by one before sending. Files can be up to 250 MB each in Bizomate; Outlook's own limit for an email applies.
  • The email is saved in the mailbox's Sent Items.
  • Runs once per item.

If something goes wrong

Outlook refused: … The connection may need reconnecting, or lacks permission. Microsoft turned the send away. Reconnect the connection.
Outlook refused: … Microsoft refused for another reason — an attachment too large, a bad address. Read the reason, and fix it.
“rohan@consulace” is not an email address. / At most 10 people at a time — this had 12. An address is wrong, or there are too many. Correct the addresses.
Attachment 1 is not a file when the step ran — {{ … }} may not have brought one. The value in Attachments was not a file in that run. Check the earlier step gave a file.
… is no longer kept — the run it came from has left the history. The file's run was removed from history. Use a file from this run.
