During a live chat, an agent may ask to see your screen, so they can see what you see instead of asking you to describe it. You decide whether to share, and what. This article shows how to start and stop, and what to do on a phone.

Who can do this

Anyone signed in to Bizomate who is chatting with an agent. Sharing starts only when an agent asks, and only when you agree. It is not available in chats from docs.bizomate.com or the sign-in pages.

Before you start

You need a live chat with an agent — see Chatting with support — and a desktop browser.

Steps

Share your screen

  1. When the agent asks, the chat shows "Meera would like to see your screen" — "You choose what to share. We suggest just this Bizomate tab, so nothing else on your screen is visible."
  2. Select Share this tab. The button reads Starting while it connects.
    • Not now? Select Not now. The agent sees that you declined, and the chat carries on.
  3. Your browser asks what to share. Choose the Bizomate tab, then confirm in the browser's own window.
  4. A bar appears at the top of the page: "You’re sharing this tab with Meera from support" — "View only · not recorded".

Stop sharing

  1. Select Stop sharing on the bar at the top of the page.
    • Stopping in the browser's own sharing bar works too.

On a phone

  1. When the agent asks, the chat shows Screen sharing needs a desktop browser — "Meera asked to see your screen, but sharing is not available on phones. You can carry on here, or share later from a computer."
  2. Choose one:
    • Carry on in chat — keep explaining in the chat.
    • Send a screenshot instead — pick an image from your phone. It is sent to the agent in the chat.

What happens next

  • The agent sees only what you chose to share, and only while you share it.
  • Sharing ends when you select Stop sharing, when you close the tab, or when the chat ends.
  • Every sharing session is logged with the chat.

Good to know

  • View only. The agent sees the tab but cannot click or type in it.
  • Not recorded. Nothing is saved; the picture exists only while you share.
  • Share one tab, not your whole screen, so emails, messages and other windows stay private.
  • Screenshots can be PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP images, up to 10 MB.
