Four kinds of Bizomate email can be stopped from the email itself, without opening Bizomate first: A run fails, A run finishes, A connection stops working and Product news. Stopping one switches off only that email; the others, and the notification centre, carry on.

Who can do this

Everyone, for their own email. Each email stops only for you, never for others in the company.

Steps

With your mail app's Unsubscribe

  1. Open the email — for example Daily sales summary failed, Daily sales summary ran, Consulace Outlook needs reconnecting, or a product-news email.
  2. Select your mail app's own Unsubscribe, shown beside the sender in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail.
  3. Confirm in your mail app if it asks.

That email is switched off at once. You do not need to sign in. If your mail app shows Bizomate's answer, it reads, for example, Done. Bizomate will no longer email you when a run fails. The bell still shows it.

With the link at the bottom of the email

  1. At the bottom of the email, find the line that says why you got it:
    • You get this because “A run fails” is on. Switch it off in Settings › Notifications.
    • You get this because “A run finishes” is on. Switch it off in Settings › Notifications when you no longer need every run.
    • You get this because “A connection stops working” is on. Switch it off in Settings › Notifications.
  2. Select Switch it off in Settings › Notifications. Sign in if Bizomate asks.
  3. On Notifications, under Also email me when, switch off the email. A banner says Saved.

What happens next

  • Only that email stops, and only for you. Each one is the same switch as on Settings › Notifications — switching it off from the email turns that switch off.
  • The notification centre keeps everything. A run failing and a connection stopping still appear under the bell; only the email stops.
  • You can switch any of them back on in Settings › Notifications.

Good to know

  • Some email cannot be stopped. Security alerts, invitations, ownership offers, billing notices, support replies and maintenance notices come either way, and have no Unsubscribe.
  • A run fails is worth keeping on. It emails you once when a workflow starts failing, not for every failed run, so it is seldom noisy.
  • The Unsubscribe does not expire. An email read months later still stops that email.
  • Opening the unsubscribe address in a browser changes nothing. It opens Settings › Notifications instead, because mail scanners open every link in an email and must not switch your emails off.
  • If a colleague still gets the email, they must stop it themselves — each person's emails are their own.

If something goes wrong

What you see Why What to do
That unsubscribe link is not valid. The unsubscribe address was changed or cut short. Switch the email off in Settings › Notifications.
We could not switch off the emails when a run fails just now. Switch it off in Settings › Notifications instead. — or the same with the emails when a run finishes, the emails when a connection stops working or product news Bizomate could not save the change at that moment. Switch that email off in Settings › Notifications.
No Unsubscribe in your mail app Your mail app does not show it, or the email is one that cannot be stopped. Use the link at the bottom of the email, or Settings › Notifications.
The emails still arrive They come from another switch — for example A run fails is off but A run finishes is on. Check all four switches in Settings › Notifications.
