Two WooCommerce steps work with your store's products. WooCommerce · Create or update a product — A product in the store, new or changed — makes a product, or changes one you name by its id. WooCommerce · Find a product — Products by SKU or by a word in them — one item each — looks products up, so later steps can use their ids, prices and stock.
Who can do this
Workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan. Viewers see the steps' settings but cannot change them.
Before you start
A WooCommerce connection with a Read/Write key — see Connect WooCommerce.
Steps
Create or update a product:
- Select + where the step should go. In the step picker, open Apps, select WooCommerce, then Create or update a product. Or search WooCommerce.
- In Connection, choose your WooCommerce connection. If it is the only one, it is already chosen.
- In Product, leave it empty to make a new product. To change one, give its id — A product's id to change it. Empty makes a new one.
- In Name, Consulace onboarding pack — Needed for a new product.
- Optional: SKU, Price (1499.00), Sale price, Short description and Description.
- In Status, choose Leave it, Published, Draft or Private.
- Select Run this step to try it.
Find a product:
- In the step picker, open Apps, select WooCommerce, then Find a product.
- In Connection, choose your WooCommerce connection.
- In SKU, the exact SKU. Or in Search, a word in the product — Used with or without a SKU.
- Select Run this step to try it.
Output
Both steps give the same fields for a product. Find a product gives one item for each product found.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
id |
WooCommerce's id for the product — what Update stock and Create an order take. |
name |
Its name. |
sku |
Its SKU. |
status |
publish, draft, pending or private. |
price |
What it sells for now — the sale price while there is one. |
regularPrice, salePrice |
The two prices, as set. |
stockQuantity |
How many are in stock, if WooCommerce tracks stock for it. |
stockStatus |
instock, outofstock or onbackorder. |
permalink |
The product's page on your site. |
Good to know
- Fields left empty are left alone when you change a product.
- Price is the regular price. A Sale price below it puts the product on sale.
- Leave it under Status keeps the status the product has. A new product made with Leave it is published.
- Find a product gives up to 50 products. Filling in nothing gives the newest 50.
- Finding nothing gives no items, and the steps after it do not run. That is not a failure.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Name is empty — a new product needs one. | Product is empty, so a new product is made, and it has no name. | Fill in Name, or give the id of the product to change. |
| WooCommerce refused: Invalid ID. | No product has that id. | Check the value in Product — it is the id, not the name. |
| WooCommerce refused: Invalid or duplicated SKU. | Another product has that SKU. | Use another SKU, or change that product instead. |
| WooCommerce refused: Sorry, you are not allowed to create resources. … | The key is Read only. | See Connect WooCommerce. |
