A Jotform connection lets the Jotform trigger start a run for each new submission, and lets the Jotform steps find, read and update submissions. It connects with an API key you make in Jotform, and the region your Jotform account lives in.
Who can do this
- In Bizomate: workspace Admins and Editors, on every plan — Jotform is not a premium connection. Viewers see the connection but cannot add or change it.
- In Jotform: the account owner, or a user who can make API keys. The connection sees that account's forms.
Before you start
Know where your Jotform account lives:
- Standard — jotform.com, the usual one.
- EU — eu.jotform.com, for accounts kept in the European Union.
- HIPAA — hipaa.jotform.com, for accounts with Jotform's HIPAA option. Read the warning under Good to know first.
HIPAA forms are not supported yet.
Steps
In Jotform, make the key:
- Sign in to Jotform.
- Select your profile picture at the top right, then Settings, then API.
- Select Create New Key.
- Set its Permissions to Full Access. A Read Access key can find and read submissions, but cannot add the trigger's webhook or update a submission.
- Copy the key.
In Bizomate, add the connection:
- Select Connections in the bar at the top, then + Add connection.
- Under Productivity, select Jotform. It reads "Stored credential".
- In Connection name, type a name — for example Consulace Jotform.
- Paste the key in API key. It is hidden as you type.
- In Region, choose Standard or EU. Standard is chosen to begin with.
- Leave Test the connection before saving ticked.
- Select Save connection. It reads Testing while Jotform is asked whose key it is.
The toast "Connection added" says "“Consulace Jotform” is ready. Every workflow in this workspace can use it."
What happens next
- The connection appears under Productivity. Its panel shows the region and the masked key's ending, never the key.
- Test answers with the Jotform user and region — Reached consulace · Jotform EU.
- Test answers with the Jotform username and region — Reached consulace · Jotform for a Standard account, Reached consulace · Jotform EU for an EU one.
- The Jotform trigger and steps list it under Connection, and load your forms from it.
Good to know
- The region must match the account. A key from an EU account is refused on Standard, and the other way round.
- HIPAA accounts. Answers on a HIPAA form are stored in Bizomate's run records like any other data, and Bizomate has no HIPAA agreement. (Until the lawyer words the on-screen warning, the help says only this. Lawyer brief, tier 2, question 16.)
- HIPAA forms are not supported yet. There is no HIPAA region to choose.
- Deleting the key in Jotform stops the connection at once. Open the connection's panel, select Replace key, paste a new one and select Replace key.
If something goes wrong
